Path Integration

My Background

I have a broad range of experiences working with children and families. I earned a degree as an Independent Educational Consultant from UC Irvine, and have been involved with the college process for the past several years. My undergraduate degree is in French from Vanderbilt University, and my graduate degree is in Occupational therapy from University of Southern California. I have in-depth knowledge of the college application process, of learning differences, disability, assessments, and educational laws. I have a particular passion to help students find their best self. I am mother of 4 children and have been married for 26 years. In my free time I love to run with friends, hike, read, travel, and cook.

My Mission

The mission of Path Integration is to guide each student through the college application process from personality testing, to college list building, to filling out the application and essays. I specialize in helping students explore all options. For some students that may mean applying to an Ivy league school, taking a gap year, or earning a vocational certificate. Others may need disability support services to level the playing field. I define success by finding the right fit for each student.

Why the name Path Integration?

It is a scientific term used to describe how animals migrate to find their destination and return to the same place by using all their senses and external information from the earth. I felt the name fit with my mission, and I liked the vision of launching into the world but eventually returning with new perspectives.

Congratulations! Where my students have gained admissions

I have been honored to help fantastic students with a variety of goals and interests from music and art to more traditional majors like political science, computer science, engineering and business. I even had a student apply as an Asian Studies major with a double interest in Veterinary sciences. We laughed that she could be a Vet in China! This coming year I am assisting a recruited athlete.
